This product is the most important and most used anionic surfactant. It has the characteristics of wetting，penetrating， emulsifying， dispersing， solubilizing， foaming and decontaminating of anionic surfactant.

As an anionic surfactant， sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate has good surface activity. It has strong hydrophilicity， which can effectively reduce the tension of the oil-water interface to achieve emulsification. Therefore， sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate is widely used in the preparation of cosmetics， food， printing and dyeing aids， pesticides and other emulsions.
